Jason believes that transparency is essential to ensuring effective representation. Jason is committed to openly communicating with the students of the College of Liberal Arts and making the decision-making processes of the association accessible to everyone. Jason will work to provide clear updates on ASUN initiatives, policies, and budget allocations so students can see how their voices shape the association’s actions. He will also advocate for regular forums and feedback sessions, allowing students to directly engage with their representatives and hold them accountable.

Student Fees

Protecting students from frivolous fees and wasteful spending.

With the cost of tuition on the rise nationwide, it has never been more important that students had a voice in combatting unnecessary fee increases. Jason will be a voice committed to ensuring that student fees are used responsibly and efficiently. He believes that every dollar of student funding should directly benefit the student body. Jason will advocate for thorough reviews of ASUN’s budget to eliminate unnecessary expenditures and prioritize essential services and initiatives. By fostering financial transparency and accountability, Jason aims to prevent wasteful spending and ensure that fees remain fair and justified. He will also work to involve students in conversations about fee changes, ensuring their voices are central to decisions that impact their financial well-being.

Academic & Career Readiness

Collaborating with the Northern Nevada community and bringing opportunity to COLA.

Jason believes that every student should have equitable access to career opportunities, and is focused on preparing students in the College of Liberal Arts (COLA) for academic and career success. He plans to build stronger partnerships between ASUN and the Northern Nevada community, connecting students with local internships, mentorship programs, and career development opportunities. Jason will advocate for expanded resources for career readiness, such as workshops, networking events, and collaborations with alumni. By working to integrate real-world experience into academic life, Jason aims to ensure COLA students are well-equipped to succeed both during their studies and after graduation.

Civic Engagement

Empowering the Wolfpack in bringing change to Nevada.

The University is in a unique position to move the Silver State forward. Jason is committed to increasing civic participation among students here at UNR. He plans to work with ASUN and local organizations to provide students with resources and opportunities to engage in the democratic process, including voter registration drives, informational campaigns, and advocacy training. Jason believes in empowering students to take an active role in shaping the future of Nevada by fostering awareness of key issues and encouraging participation in local and state initiatives. By promoting civic engagement, Jason aims to ensure that the voices of the Wolfpack are heard and have a meaningful impact.

Beyond the University

Building bridges across Northern Nevada.

Jason is committed to expanding ASUN’s reach and influence beyond the University. By connecting with key stakeholders across Northern Nevada, he aims to strengthen partnerships that benefit students and the wider community. Jason plans to collaborate with local organizations, businesses, and government entities to bring new resources, opportunities, and support to the student body. These efforts will not only enhance the student experience but also ensure that ASUN serves as a strong advocate for the interests of students throughout the Silver State.
